hoodia

Did you know that the indigenous populations of South Africa have been using hoodia for hundreds of years? It is a flowering plant, kind of similar to a cactus but not a member of the cactus family. It’s been used to treat indigestion and some infections, and some people claim it works as an appetite suppressant, although that’s quite disputed.
