*prefab garage*

My grandparents had a garage that was separate from the house. We also have good friends who have a separate garage. Although we don’t have a separate garage, I certainly understand why many people would want one! In our world of “stuff”, with so many garages filling up and no place to put the cars, it only makes sense that many people would want to put a cheap, Prefab Garage next to their house. Covering the lawn with garage would mean that you have that much less lawn to mow. But even more importantly, it is easier to get a separate garage approved by the city. If you build an addition onto your house, then you will have to tolerate the dust and noise of construction for months, possibly years, as well as possibly compromising the structural integrity of your home. If you can tolerate walking a few steps to a separate garage, you will be able to build your garage for less money and in less time.
