Aloha!

So, most of you know I like to travel - scratch that, I LOVE to travel! I've been to southeast Asia twice, to Central America once, to West Africa once (for seven months!), and to almost every state in the continental 48. I've never been to Europe, though I'd love to go there someday. I abolutely LOVED the temperate climate of southeast Asia and west Africa.

Believe it or not, despite all my travels, I've never been to Hawaii! I would sure love to go, though! If I went to Hawaii, I would want to rent a vacation cottage on the beach so that I could listen to the waves as I went to sleep at night. Also, I'd be right next to the beach! Even if it wasn't a swimming beach (due to rip tides and such), I could still go wading in the evening and walk along the sand.

Hawaii is filled with such beautiful flora and fauna that I know I would not be able to tolerate a hotel. It would be so much better to rent a vacation condo on the beach and be so close to nature. Plus, vacation cottages are so much better for the environment than large, impersonal hotels. Even aesthetically, vacation cottages are much more appealing! I hope that when I have a chance to visit Hawaii, I can rent a vacation cottage!
