the end of the Crandall Canyon Mine

The search has officially ended for the Crandall Canyon miners.
My heart grieves for their families, even though I know I know that this is best.
God bless the miners.

  • I neither accept nor believe the explanation given by the Feds or Mine management for terminating the search for the missing miners. This is the 21st Century. Technology has evolved. The project leadership needs to start a recovery effort and get the bodies of the missing men out of the mine and back to their families. We either have the means to do it or we can quickly develop it. As with Hurricane Katrina, the Federal government has failed us again. Mine management is irresponsible. The project leadership lacks the will to succeed. The USA used to be a “can-do” society. But we no longer have competent leadership to push us further up – to take us to the Moon, as we once did. The people must speak out and insist on a satisfactory ending to this mine disaster. They must, for the good of the families, our common good, and the competence of the nation.

  • is it useful to require that all miners have a communications device and there be a communications system to the surface for catastrophes like Crandall Canyon?
