Two girls on an ATV fell into a desrted Arizona mine shaft. One girl was killed; the other girl has "major injuries".

Mines really are a curiousity. What is it with mankind's desire to essentially find buried treasure? Why do we continue to dig deeper and deeper, seeking oil and coal to fuel our lives, and pretty gems and jewels to - look at? You know, we are really odd creatures.
