peace and calm
I have to thank Drea, Janna, Anneliese, and anyone else who has stopped by this blog and said a prayer for me. This has been a really fantastic day, even though it really shouldn't have been. I had every reason to have a bad day... but it was really good and I have felt really peaceful all day. I am convinced that it is because of the prayers I have lifted up, and the prayers my fellow bloggers have lifted up for me.
I don't understand God's plans at all. Some of what's happened in the past couple of days has made no sense whatsoever to me. But there's an end to this, somehow, someday. I'll get there. Don't know how but I'll get there.

Many times, I don't understand God's plans either... but this is what it means to walk by faith and not by sight. It is this walking by faith, the continuing to trust God and be obedient, even when we don't understand why, that He has called us to.
Take care and God bless! May His grace and peace be ever abundant in your life!

And at the end of the peaceful day, you made some bass-ackwards, discriminitory statements at the Crallspace.
Since then, many people smarter than I have had responses to what you have said. I hope that if you are bold enough to come around making these statements, that you are willing to hear others' opinions.

Oh boy oh boy Tidy... ;-) you got Dan on your back now. ::sigh:: such D R A M A ....

You are definitely right about the DRAMA, Drea! *sigh*
But I don't really care. 1 Cor. 2:14 "The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned."
Not that I'm claiming that anything I've said is from the Spirit of God... but I do claim that God has said that it is a sin to be a gay person who is not pursuing repentance. That's in the Bible. And, well, that is foolishness to those who do not believe. Just look at our society... with so many unbelievers it is a mess!
It's funny how a person can toss their opinion on the internet, find half a dozen people who agree with them, and decide that their opinion represents the general population. Sad. You and I and the general Christian population have a lot of work to do before Jesus returns.

I thought you had some good arguments myself. Honestly, I was shocked that Dan has 70+ comments on that subject...and I was expecting them to flame all over mine.
Guess you took the heat for me, although the comments wouldn't have bothered me anyway - probably made me laugh.
By the way, how long is it until you have your portfolio graded?
By Michael Swartz, At December 03, 2005 11:30 PM
I just wanted to say how much I respect your arguments on the crallspace. He usually argues so well for a cause and at least makes me think, but he could not admit that you got him on this one. I wanted to comment, but I didn't need to. You took the thoughts out of my head and worded them much better than I ever could have. So, thanks for standing up for Yeshua and the Word, and you did a great job with the stats. Also, props to you for not falling prey to the backbiting. You stood your ground and did not get juvenile like many of the people who posted did. God be with you. (And if you look at this Michael Swartz - kudos to you as well.)

Hi Tidy. Yeah.. you cant expect people who arent born again / or running from the will of God... to understand anything your saying.
They just can't.
If you notice though... majority of the ones against what you've said or others like Michael or myself... are the ones hurling insults at us... and others "like us." in their words.
I didnt read all the 101 comments on his post... but I read enough to hear what they had to say.
Gay people arent any less of a person than a straight person. Straight people sin JUST as much as a Gay person.
God loves that gay person just as much as he does the Preacher down the street.
The difference is... if that Gay person doesnt repent for their lifestyle and turn from that sin... they will be punished just like the straight person who didn't turn from their sin.
Ive heard the question of "Well does a Gay Christian go to Hell? Because their lifestyle is sin?" ... Honestly I find it REALLY hard to believe that a SAVED person ... born again in Christ... can continue to live in that lifestyle knowing its an abomination to Christ...
People make the choice to live their lifestyle a certain way. A gay person with gay thoughts can control those thoughts... just the same as an Alcholic can control his desire to drink. God didn't create GAYS in so many peoples words... God gave man a free will and choice to yield to their flesh... or not to.
Its up to them.
Hopefully you wont get to many bloggers off of Dans sight coming to yours cussing you out and hurling more insults at you over this comment ;-)
If they do just delete them. No point on dragging this out any more.

" Hi Tidy. Yeah.. you cant expect people who arent born again / or running from the will of God... to understand anything your saying. " <<< Need to add to this. I read it over and got one thing to add. People can see the wrong in being Gay even if they arent Christians.

Tidy you should put your use the option to view all comments before they are posted. I found this works best for two reasons.
1) you keep filthy language and other nonsense off your blog.
2) You will be notified anytime someone comments on any of your post... even its a later post from months before.
Its worked great for me :-)
