Sam and Lindsey, we love you

I suppose this news is breaking all over the internet right now. Breaking news, right out of my area. Yesterday police in Sugar Creek and Independence, Missouri discovered human remains believed to be those of Sam and Lindsey Porter, ages seven and eight. It was announced just minutes ago that, based on dental records, as well as the age and size of the bones, authorities believe that those human remains are, indeed, those of Sam and Lindsey.

Sam and Lindsey disappeared three years, three months, and four days ago, when their father did not return them after a weekend visit (click for more info). Their father, Daniel Porter, has refused to tell police what he did to the children. He has been convicted and sentenced to 38 years in prison for two counts each on kidnapping to terrorize and parental kidnapping.

Sam and Lindsey's mother, Tina Porter, has kept hope alive for three years. The community has rallied around her. Visit Sam and Lindsey's website to send your love to their mother.
