desktop meme - yay! I got it to work!
I was tagged by Pia about a month and a half ago to do this meme, but since my laptop has one of those scrunched-up keyboards, I couldn't get it to work. Tonight I finally figured out how to get it to work and yay, here's my desktop!
That wallpaper is of one of my hamsters, Kissimmee. Of course, all of my hamsters have died by now, but I still like to remember all the happy times I had with them. I really need to change my wallpaper - it's been like that for a looooonnnngggg time!
I almost always have IE or Firefox running, and I also use the GIMP a lot. (it's free and it's pretty nice!) I've gotten rid of most of my instant messengers (I switched to meebo.com) but since I have Gmail, I'm still hooked on the "instant" alerts whenever I get a message. I have oodles of icons because I'm a shortcut junkie.
Update: Blah, sorry, took me a few minutes to get the size of the image figured out.
Okay, here are the rules for the meme:
* Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun. You can do a screen capture by: Going to your desktop and pressing the Print Scrn key. Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V). If you wish, you can “edit” the image, before saving it.
* Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of icons. Things like that.
* Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.
* Add your name to this list of Free Viewers with a link pointing directly to your Desktop Free View post to promote it to succeeding participants.
Now I tag: Summer, Dianna, Tracy, Lindsey, and Mike.
