Another great island to visit in Hawaii would be the big island, which is also called Hawaii. There are tons of Big Island vacation rentals, all over the island – on the beach, in the cities, everywhere. I found a great Hawaiian Travel Blog with lots of information about places to visit in Hawaii.
Did you know that Hawaii’s Big Island is still growing? Because of the volcanoes on this island – specifically the ones in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park – the island is growing by a few inches every year. Isn’t that amazing?
The Big Island also represents more climate zones than any other Hawaiian island. Eleven different climates are represented – everything from lush rain forests to arid deserts to black sand beaches to snow capped mountains. It’s small enough that you could easily travel from one climate to another and back again, all in one day! How cool is that?
