Police have confirmed that the remains belong to Sam and Lindsey Porter. It is believed that this is a tragic case in which Daniel Porter hated his wife more than he loved his children.

And that leaves the rest of us with one question - how??? How is it possible to be so filled with hate that you can kill a child, much less your own child? How is it possible to kill? How is it possible to harm someone you love? How?

But now I am left with just one thought: As tempting as it is to be filled with hate for Daniel Porter - heaven only knows he had his own fair share of hate - it will only cause us more grief to hate him. If there is anything to hate, it is this situation. I hate that this ever happened. But it did, and we must press on. As painful as it is, I urge you to forgive. Forgiveness will release you to move onward and live a full life again. Sam and Lindsey may be gone, but they will never be forgotten. Let us remember them as we try to save other children from suffering the same fate.
