bye bye television, bye bye vcr

What a day! First the DSL goes out, and we replace the router. Then today, the TV and VCR started acting up!

Well, it wasn’t really “today”. The VCR has been acting up for a long time. For several weeks now, I have periodically been getting only sound and no image on the VCR.

Today the TV decided to throw a fit. On most of the channels, we now get only images, with no sound.

So now, if you hotwire the TV and VCR together, you can get images through the TV and sound through the VCR. It’s pretty sad!
