My mom’s second-grade class participates in activities and games that are very distinctly defined along gender lines. The girls play with dolls, play house, etc. The boys play with cars, build things, and play “war”. My mom always has to stay on her toes to keep the boys from taking their war games too far. They love to wear “tough” clothes, like camouflage or 5.11 Tactical Pants, and to be the heroes.
