cpas

In my quest to become a writer, it has been recommended to me that I get a CPA. I can see the wisdom in this. I know how to fill out my taxes, with the aid of H&R Block TaxCut software! Standard 1040s are not very scary. But when you get into itemizing or other tax craziness, it's useful to have a professional to assist with your financial reporting. Plus, they can find all kinds of deductions that you may not know of!

shoes

I am so not a fancy shoe person. Honestly most of the time I don't even wear shoes... I love to be barefoot! And, given the choice, I prefer flip flops to almost any other type of shoes. But flip flops aren't always appropriate. So I buy really cheap shoes, usually. Sometimes I opt for really comfortable shoes, like UGG Australia or Dr. Scholl's. But it's nothing like being barefoot!

vacations

I love vacations. I've been all over the world and I would do it all over again. I went to Disney World once, but I would love to return on more Orlando vacations. There's plenty more to see there... like Sea World... and the ocean... and, I dunno what else. Oh, I have a cousin who lives in Jacksonville, Florida... it'd be cool to see him and his family. I just like traveling. :)

faucets

If I've learned anything from living with my parents, I've learned that owning a home can be a huge pain. There's so much involved with maintenance. First you have to deal with the outdoor maintenance- mowing the grass, planting flower gardens, watering and seeding the entire lawn. Then indoors, there are all kinds of things that can break and have to be repaired. You have to change light bulbs, fix leaky pipes, replace the bathroom faucet and the kitchen faucet... you name it. Such a nuisance!

photo cards

Has anyone else noticed that they've changed the dashboard in Blogger?

I still need to sort out all my photos from when I was in Europe. I bought five xd picture cards for my camera before I left, and I've filled them ALL up. It's crazy- there were so many things to photograph! But I promise, you won't be disappointed. There's lots and lots of near photos.

auto insurance

Can you believe how much auto insurance costs nowadays? Especially for young people. It's totally true, what "they" say- your insurance goes down when you turn 21 and 25, and boys definitely pay more than girls in car insurance. But that's not much help if you are under 25. Until then, you have to constantly do auto insurance comparison. Just don't fall for those companies with bad commercials offering dirt-cheap insurance. You really do get what you pay for, and when you have a car accident or get a ticket, you want an insurance company that will support you all the way.

tactical gear

Tonight I drove past a VERY active crime scene. I did not really know what was going on, but when I saw the police SWAT unit drive past, I knew it was serious. They were all decked out in their tactical gear and police stuff. I'm hoping and praying that everyone is okay, but the scene was right by a large local bar. People who are drunk can behave in a very stupid manner. We all know what that means.

outdoor furniture covers

outdoor furniture covers are so useful. It's amazing how much dirt that can collect on patio furniture, even when you're not using them or spilling anything on them. There's the inevitable bird poo, and the dirt that is carried by seeds and other flying debris. But also, when it rains, there's a reasonable amount of grime that comes with the rain. During a bad storm, you can get plenty of dirt on the furniture. Plus if you cover the furniture, then you can make it last longer.
