weird drug names

Do you ever wonder what goes through the minds of drug companies when they name their drugs? I mean, sometimes you can tell that they are trying to make you think of positive words with positive connotations, but other times I just have no idea. Like nuphedra. That kinda makes me think of water, and swimming, which I guess is good. But I have no idea why that makes me think of water!

garage sale

Next week we will be holding a garage sale to get rid of our yearly collection of stuff. We are in the process of cleaning out the garage to make room for the sale. We are trying to figure out what to do with all the shipping boxes we have collected. They could be useful after the sale for anything we manage to sell on Ebay. But on the other hand they are in the way! It will be nice when the sale is over!

outer banks

I've traveled quite a bit in my life, but I've never gotten to visit the Outer Banks. I'd love to visit there. It's one of the MANY places I want to visit. I want to visit more countries than I can count- a return to China and Hong Kong, India, Japan, Germany, France, Romania, Slovakia, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Israel, Iraq, and just about every nation on the continent of Africa. Of course, many of these nations are not "visit-able" because of the violence there. In fact, I suspect that I will never get to visit some these nations due to the violence. Too bad, since I'm sure those would be neat places to visit.

seeking fitness

I'm glad that I've found exercise that I at least sort of enjoy. It's hard enough to lose weight, and if only I could find a good fat loss pill to get rid of the love handles, ya know! Hopefully if I continue to swim, that will take care of at least a few pounds- it would be so nice to just be lean and strong. It's nice to imagine that I am physically fit and strong, and how much easier that would make a lot of things in my life!

cameras

It's amazing how many types of cameras and camcorders you can get nowadays. I'm kind of an oddball, I guess, in that I am more interested in still images than a long recording. It's nice to record things, but I just don't know if it's worth storing those recordings when I may never view them again. But I love having a camera, and with most digital cameras nowadays, you can get both camera and camcorder functions on one unit, which is awfully nice!

travel

I love to travel- you know that. I'm amazed by how you can literally get any kind of cruise or tour you want. There are cruises aimed at Christians, at single parents, at people who want to learn to dance, you name it! You can even purchase gay travel. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I suppose it's fair enough, and like I said you can get just about any kind of travel you want. So I guess it's not a surprise that they include homosexuals in that.

acne

I am so lazy about acne treatments. I think I've found that the best acne treatment for me is swimming. The chlorine in the pool actually dries your skin out in a way that is perfect for treating acne. It's a great side effect of getting daily exercise by swimming a few laps in the pool! I've been swimming this week and I've noticed that my outbreaks are improving TREMENDOUSLY, after only three or four days. It's wonderful!

cell towers

Awhile back there was a big controversy in a nearby town about a cell tower that was going up. I think that's just so strange. I mean, people don't realize how much they depend on those towers! Plus, I don't think they have to look "ugly". I have seen some churches who were able to integrate a cell tower in their steeple- which is REALLY fantastic, because not only is there not an ugly cell tower, but the church gets a little income every months from "leasing" their steeple. There's also a Salvation Army camp nearby that actually decorated a cell tower within their camp grounds, and it's really nice. Plus again the Salvation Army gets a little money each month from leasing the tower! It's a real win win situation!

bathrooms

I'm amazed by how much we've remodeled our home in just the past few years. I guess technically it's not remodeling, mostly, because we haven't done a TON of tearing down the walls or anything like that. More like redecorating. But we have gotten new appliances for my bathroom- Kohler sinks and a shower and so forth - and that's awfully nice. I don't keep it nearly clean enough but it is so much more functional now!
