middle school band

When I was much younger and first considering playing an instrument in my school band, I narrowed it down to the flute or clarinet. I decided that I wanted to play the flute, but around the same time, I began some orthodontic work that prevented me from manipulating my mouth exceptional yamaha clarinet, but by that time, I'd decided that I ONLY wanted to play the flute. Needless to say, now I can play neither instrument.

I find it interesting how many musicians are fiercely devoted to a particular brand/style of musical instrument. They're like sports players who will only use a particular type of baseball glove or baseball bat - they will only use a particular type of instrument. Like a Fender Stratocaster at guitar center. But I guess I can't understand it since I'm not a musician!!

taxes

I spent some time this week catching up on my finances. I'm especially pleased this year with my accounting. I suspect it will be much, much easier when I do my 2012 taxes. Everything is laid out in spreadsheet format, easy to see at a glance. I won't even need to get help from someone like Carson Thorn CPA - if you're organized, it's a breeze to do your own taxes!!
