acne products

I've gone through many acne products in my quest to successfully treat my adult acne (without paying too much). I like Johnson and Johnson's Clean and Clear, and also Biore has a complexion clearing face wash. I also like Aveeno's complexion clearing line, but I haven't used Aveeno in quite awhile - it's much more expensive than J&J or Biore. I've discovered a couple of partial tubes of Clean and Clear, so that's what I'm using right now. My only complaint is that it makes my neck itch - it seems to be a weird and annoying side effect. Luckily the itching improves if I use it regularly.

police

Police in Europe are very different from police in the USA. They all have the same goal - protecting citizens and preserving peace. But they dress so differently. Britain has many officers that surround the queen's palace and other historic sites wearing a red coat and one of those funny hats. There must be other officers, in a more flexible uniform, patrolling the streets, but we never saw any officers wearing a cotton uniform, or tactical pants, or any other clothes that looked remotely comfortable.

books

I have not had a full length book published yet. It will be interesting to see which of my books is published first, whether it is a children's book or an adult book, historical fiction or science fiction or non fiction. I have all types, and if I do say so myself, I think they're all quite good. Of course, I really should probably self-publish a few books through my website. I haven't done that yet but I've heard it is one way to break into the publishing world.

carpet cleaners

Our house is mostly carpeted, and we try to give the carpet a good cleaning at least once a year. When I was a kid, my mom used dry carpet cleaners. A few years ago, though, she switched to steam cleaners. We don't own either one - we rent it from a grocery store, or a carpet store, or an equipment rental store. Both types are good cleaners, but we decided we prefer the steam cleaner - it feels just a teensy bit better. Of course, this year, we haven't cleaned the carpet but are trying to replace the carpet in most of the rooms.

sound bars

When I was a sophomore in college, I almost bought a huge (and expensive) theater system for my dorm room, with surround sound, and sound bars for speakers. I was going through the "i have to have better, cooler stuff than my peers" phase. I didn't buy the theater system, thank goodness. It would have been a huge waste of money. I definitely didn't need it! I was young and foolish. Luckily I didn't buy it, and the money was put to a much better use (i.e. buying food and paying for school)!

rubis

I've always known about Tweezerman tweezers, but just recently I discovered Rubis, another brand of tweezers. I honestly can't claim affinity to either brand. Usually I just use whatever brand I can get on sale, on clearance, or at a discount store. I don't tweeze as often as probably should, but I guess it's one of those rare occasions when laziness saves me money.

cat6

A couple of months ago, I placed a big order from newegg.com. I bought a couple of CAT6 network cables, which were supposed to be incredibly faster than my current CAT4 and CAT5 cables. I gotta say... I was not (and am not) very impressed. I didn't find them to be a whole lot faster than the CAT4 or CAT5. I will admit that they had a better latch, which I appreciate.

car insurance

Car insurance is one of those annoying things where, it feels like you will never use it, but when you need it, you'll be thankful for a good car insurance company. I love my insurance company - they've been very good to me. It's a niche insurance company, though, so not everyone qualifies for it. But if you are curious, you are welcome to email me or leave a comment and we can talk about it.

golf bags

I must admit that I don't know much about golf. I was discussing this with my pastor's son last Sunday. The pastor and his son enjoy playing golf and have all the accessories - golf bags, clubs, tees, balls, you name it. They even enjoy watching golf tournaments on TV. I find televised golf tournaments to be insufferable, and my experience is pretty much limited to putt putt!
