Speaking of pills, as long as you've got wake up pills and go to sleep pills, and pills for everything else, why not take diet pills? Who needs to actually work hard to lose weight when you can just take another pill? Good grief, it's really pitiful how we get suckered into all these totally false claims. People are just soooo stupid.
pills
It's so crazy how people turn to drugs to fix everything nowadays. Stupid really. You get a pill to stay awake and then sleep pills when it is time for bed. Then because your body gets so messed up from all the pills you are taking, you get more pills to treat the heart problems and stomach problems and heaven only knows what other problems you have. What a world.
diet scams
I ran into another fat burner ad today- apidexin, supposedly another of these miracle drugs that will magically make you skinny. Yea right! To quote Marie Antoinette, "you can't have your cake and eat it too"! Or maybe it was just "let them eat cake"... hmm... well, whatever it was, doesn't matter, the point is, magic diet pills are dumb and don't work. The end.
filters
Spring is here- well maybe, the weather is certainly not acting like spring weather. But that means it's time to replace our air conditioner filters. We usually also pick up furnace filters so we will have that available to change in the fall. It's just easier to have it around. Plus of course, that way we have clean filters and our furnace always works at peak efficiency.
timeshares
Last week at church there was a guy talking about needing to "sell my timeshare". Says he doesn't go there often enough to justify the payments. I agree with that- I do not make even close to enough money to make a time share even sort of worth it, and even if I made a ton of money, I'm not sure I would want to spend my money that way.
shopping
Zoinks. I still need to go to walmart and return a pair of shorts. It should be easy- ya know, just run in, let 'em run it over the barcode scanner. I just have to get over there! What a crazy time the past few days have been. Just busy busy busy! So much work to do I can barely think straight, and not nearly enough time to run the errands I need to run!

food
I try to eat healthy, maybe not exactly a weight loss diet but definitely a healthy diet. It is so crazy hard to get enough vitamins and minerals and other good stuff in your diet nowadays. I mean, there are so many tempting but not healthy foods out there. What's not to love about Mcdonalds or Ho-Hos or deep fried onion rings? If only it weren't so doggone unhealthy!
pants vs skirts
Not long ago I was watching a documentary and it got me to thinking... See I'm a jeans/capris/shorts girl. I guess that makes me a bit of a tomboy. I don't enjoy wearing skirts or dresses or even half-skirts like breeches. I am so glad that women have come far enough in society that we don't have to wear those crazy things anymore!
textbooks
When you go to college, and you buy your textbooks, they never warn you that you will be stuck with those books FOREVER! I have spent so long trying to sell textbooks, mostly old books leftover from my college days. Thing is, as soon as the semester is over, the books lose all their value. The publisher releases a new edition or the professor changes the class textbook, and the old textbook is completely useless.
life insurance
I am so glad that I am at a point in my life where I'm not having to search for a life insurance lead. I suppose if I was to pass away, there would be an expense with the funeral and the disposal of my remains, but no one is depending on me and no one would be financially devastated by my passing. Of course I hope many people would be emotionally devastated- but, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, and hopefully we won't have to answer that question anytime soon.
oxygen
Yesterday I was talking with a friend about people we've known who needed to use an oximeter or liquid oxygen or something like that. Oxygen is a funny thing... something we take for granted, but also something we can't live without. It's kind of a double edged sword too- it's so flammable that in its concentrated form, it can catch fire and kill you. Really perplexes me when I see older people on oxygen puffing away on their cigarettes- do they have a death wish?
