Last Saturday, my husband and I were relaxing on the couch. We didn’t go out and ended up watching a movie on direct tv Augusta. I got the computer out to look up movie reviews before we decided which movie that we were going to watch. I was saddened when I saw an awful news article. Whitney Houston had passed away. I have always loved her voice and thought that she was so talented. I probably have watched the “Body Guard” with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner about twenty times. I think that I could probably recite words from it for you! I always thought that she was so pretty too. I remember a couple of years back when she had gotten scarily thin. I thought that she was doing better and was making a comeback after all her dirty laundry was made public when she and Bobbi Brown did a reality tv show together. I was sad to hear that she passed. She had really struggled with drug and alcohol abuse. I just hope that her daughter Bobbi Christina has a good support system.

Last summer, my family got to visit the Flower Pot rocks (aka the Hopewell Rocks) in New Brunswick. It's a fascinating natural resource. You can only walk down among the rocks during low tide- otherwise you would get swept away! The ground is totally muddy- you sink up to your ankles (or farther, if you're not careful!) in the mud. The ground and rocks are covered in a type of seaweed that has large air bladders- they're kinda fun to pop. And above all, the landscape is just incredible!

My sister is very stylish, and finding gifts for her is never easy! Between the two of us, she is definitely the stylish one. She can look at a piece of clothing and immediately tell if it will look good on her (or me!). She loves jewelry and can dig through piles of wholesale jewelry to pick out the perfect piece to go with an outfit. Plus she's awesome with colors- both makeup and clothes. She can tell exactly what color looks best with your skin tone, hair, and eye color. I think it's amazing!
